For those who do not want to give up comfort, even at the top of the Alps, this is the refined and classy alternative. Recently renovated by architects Miller & Maranta, the Ospizio San Gottardo was originally built in 1237 and is preserved by the “European Patrimony”. The hotel offers 11 double rooms, 2 single rooms and a 5-bed room. All rooms have a shower and toilet.
This historical place has inspired and fascinated numerous generations and world famous people (such as Goethe, Count of Cavour, Honoré de Balzac, Petrarch) to which the rooms have been dedicated. In a perfect fusion between antique and modern, the hospice is warmed with green energy thanks to a thermal pump.
